After seven days of rain, the clouds finally cleared and gifted Florence Fang Community Farm bright blue skies — perfect timing for our Lunar New Year & Black History Month celebration. Even the bees seemed to celebrate, happily greeting their beekeeper and sharing a little honey sweetness with the day.
Just as the stage was being finished, excitement grew as the San Francisco Mayor arrived with his entourage. He warmly walked through the festival, took photos with community members, and shared a few uplifting words before heading off — a visit that meant so much to all of us.
Right on cue, the lion dancers began arriving, bringing drums, color, and energy to kick off a joyful day of culture and community.
